PC wrestling looks at districts next week

The Perkins County wrestlers had back-to-back wrestling invites on Friday and Saturday last week. The first took place in Curtis at Medicine Valley and the second at Doniphan-Trumbull. 

Medicine Valley

At Medicine Valley on Jan. 26, Beau Wood pinned all five of his opponents to take the gold in the 182-pound class and remain undefeated at 24-0 this season.

Jack Kennicutt earned his way to the championship by pinning his first three opponents in the 170-pound class. He lost the championship match by two points to Evan Fisher of Chase County.

Carson Thelander pinned his first two opponents and won his fourth match by decision to take the silver medal in the 106-pound class. 

Isaias Perez pinned his last three of five opponents to take fifth in the 285-pound class.
