PCS football team takes 48-8 win over S.V.
The Perkins County Plainsmen hosted Sandhills Valley on Friday, Sept. 6.
Scoring 22 points in the first quarter to the Mavericks zero, PCS was in a good spot from early on. With a scoreless second quarter the Plainsmen came out from half time with a 22-0 lead and added 6 to make a 28-0 score going into the final 15 minutes.
Sandhills Valley did manage to get a few points on the board in the fourth, however, the Plainsmen came to win and put up another 20 points for a final score of 48-8 taking their season record to 1-1.
The PCS football team travels to Arnold on Friday the 13 to take on the 2-0 South Loup Bobcats at 6 p.m. MT. “South Loup is a very good, well-coached football team. They are 2-0 for a reason. They made it all the way to the state semifinals last season and return a good core of players from last year's team,“ Coach Brendan Geier said.
