Plainsmen 13-7 going into sub-districts

In the final regular game of their season, the Perkins County Plainsmen hosted the Bridgeport Bulldogs on Friday, Feb. 16.

Though the Bulldogs were first on the board, PC had several team mates contribute to their 17-10 lead by the end of the first.

The Bulldogs picked it up in the second, and the Plainsmen defense allowed a comeback and saw the game tied 29-29 with about 1:09 left on the clock.

Charles Johnson made the basket that gave the Plainsmen a two-point lead at halftime, 31.29.

PC held the Bulldogs to just seven points in the third, while adding 15 points for the Plainsmen. The score going into the fourth was 46-36.

A trey from Aaron Fay kicked off the scoring for Perkins County in the final quarter, but the Bulldogs put up four of their own.

Bridgeport was able to bring the point deficit to one, 52-51 Plainsmen. Two baskets in by Tanner Burge, two good free throws by Michael Beck, and in the final seconds of the game, a slam dunk from Johnson saw the PC victory, 60-54 over Bridgeport.
