Another busy week had the Plainsmen golfers playing a double meet on Tuesday, May 9. SPVA was held in Sutherland, and was followed by the Sutherland Invite.
Then on Thursday, May 11, Perkins County traveled to Ogallala and competed with fifteen other teams at the West Winds Golf Course.
“We finished with our lowest team score of the year after a superb front nine,” said Coach Kemling of his team who took second place with a score of 324.
Kemling said some mental mistakes on the back nine caused them to fall behind Kimball who shot a 308 for the number one spot.
Josh Johnston shot a 79, as did Tyler Thelander, putting them at the fifth and sixth spots respectively for the individual scores. A score of 82 earned Tyson Patrick eighth place.
