Plainsmen Wrap Up Season with Strong Showing at Class C State Golf Tournament

The Plainsmen golf team capped off a successful season with a 12th-place finish at the Class C State Golf Tournament, held May 28–29, 2025. The tournament marked a strong end to the year, highlighted by individual and team improvements across the board.

Senior Zaybreon Hansen led the team with an impressive 11th-place finish in the individual standings, earning medalist honors and providing a bright spot in his final appearance for the Plainsmen.

In a testament to the team’s grit and determination, all five golfers improved their scores from Day 1 to Day 2 — a rare and commendable achievement at the state level.

A special moment came from senior Oscar Boldt, who recorded an eagle on Hole 5 (a par 5), one of the tournament’s standout shots.

The program also took a moment to honor its graduating seniors: Zaybreon Hansen, Oscar Boldt, Eric Gonzalez, and Eli Gaston, all of whom have been key contributors to the team’s success and culture.

Congratulations go out to Coach Jolliffe and the entire Plainsmen team on a memorable season that concluded on the state’s biggest stage.
