Plainsmen Wrestlers compete at Chase County meet

The Perkins County wrestling team traveled to Chase County on January 17 to compete against a strong field of teams, gaining valuable mat experience as the season continues.

Leighton Fryzek earned a sixth-place finish in the 106-pound weight class, battling through a competitive bracket. At 132 pounds, Carson Green turned in a strong performance, placing third after a solid day of wrestling.

On the girls side, Haley Dunn represented Perkins County well, finishing fourth in the 190-pound weight class.

The Plainsmen are next scheduled to compete at a boys wrestling meet on Friday, January 23, at Bayard High School.
