Registration open for youth football league
Youth entering grades 3-6 can now register to play in the South Platte Youth Football League this fall.
The league is based in Sterling, Colorado and a Perkins County team has participated in each of the last 11 years.
There are two remaining registration dates in Sterling—Saturday, July 11 from 11-1 p.m. and Sunday, July 25, 4-7 p.m.
Registration is held at New Age Electronics, 420 South 10th Avenue in Sterling.
It’s recommended to fill out and print the registration form at www.spyfl.com and bring that to registration.
The league provides all the necessary equipment including helmet, shoulder pads, pants, etc.
Each kid also receives a jersey they get to keep. Registration is $100.00.
The local team practices at the elementary practice field. Games are played on Saturday mornings in sterling.
