Wallace competes in Cambridge

The Wallace golfers with coach Eric Miller headed to Cambridge on Thursday, April 25.

There are only three team members instead of five, which costs the Wildcats a team score, however, the three golfers did well individually.

Alec Messersmith finished the day with a 130. Teammates Ethan Bowlin and Cameron McClintock both finished the day with a 127 individually.

Cambridge’s Preston Carbaugh placed first individually with a 75. Carbaugh was seven strokes ahead of the second place individual, Jeremy McMillan-Peters of Paxton who shot an 82. Cord Frink of Arapahoe came in third with a total of 87.

The Alma team took first place with 393 strokes, and Hitchcock County came in second at 411. Southern Valley trailed Hitchcock County by three, putting them in third with 414.

The Wildcat golfers will head to North Platte for a 10 a.m. CT tee time on Thursday, May 2.
