During the Oct. 19 game, Junior Micah Swedberg breaks away from Loomis’ No. 7 Payton Shultz to make it all the way to the end zone.

Wallace earns playoff game with 88-28 win

Wallace came to their final regular season game needing a win to insure their season would continue into playoffs. Knowing what needed to be done, they traveled to Loomis, ready to prove they deserved a spot in the playoffs.

The Wildcats went right to work to get the job done. The Wolves sent the opening kickoff into the end zone so Wallace started out on their 15-yard line. Jared Sullivan found daylight on the first play and went 65 yards for six points.

Loomis responded putting together a drive that resulted in a touchdown and a 6-6 tie with 7:23 remaining in the opening quarter.

The tied score did not last long. Micah Swedberg took the ensuing kickoff and returned it for a Wildcat touchdown. Sullivan ran the ball for the extra two points to give Wallace a 14-6 lead.

Late in the quarter, the Cats put together a successful drive. They had moved the ball to the 13-yard line but a bad snap that was recovered at the 25 had them facing a fourth-and-19. Sullivan hurt his shoulder getting on the loose ball so Kaden Hager came in as his replacement.
