Coach Elizabeth Hock said the girls capped off a good week of practice last week with an exciting five-set win against Perkins County on Friday, Oct. 19. “Every girl on the team was a part of this win. When the girls relax and trust their teammates, they can do great things.” Scores of the five sets were 26-28, 25-14, 19-25, 25-19 and 15-10.

Quinn Koop and Emma Schanou led service aces with 22 followed by Sydney Pelster with 21. Koop had 11 kills and Hailey Brooks had 12 digs.

On Monday, Oct. 22 the Lady Wildcats traveled to Trenton for a triangular with Hitchcock County and Maywood/Hayes Center. Hock said they faced two quality teams and it wasn’t their best night for serve receive.

They lost to Hitchcock County in two sets, 13-25 and 15-25. Koop led service aces, kills and digs with eight, three and eight respectively.

They lost to Maywood/Hayes Center in two sets, 9-25 and 20-25. Pelster led service aces with eight and Brooks and Haley Lundvall led digs with six.
