Wallace XC continues to dominate

The Wallace Cross Country teams enjoyed a sunny and blustery day of running at the Maywood/Hayes Center meet on Friday, Sept. 23, with all five runners earning medals.
The ladies started the day with all three runners finishing in the top five. Ashley Robertson finished first with a time of 22:51.30. Dajana Garrison finished second with a dash to the finish line just passing Rachel Harris of Cambridge who finished third. Garrison’s time was 22:54.21 and Harris’s third place time was 22:55.08. Ryleigh Hanson earned fourth place with a time of 23:14.96.
The Wallace ladies team earned first place with seven points. Cambridge was runner up with 14 points and Arapahoe finished third with 28 points.
The Wallace men’s team also had a good day at the races with both runners finishing in the top fifteen. Ryun Sheets ran his way to a 14th place finish with a time of 22:04.74. Trey Robertson earned first place with a time of 17:54.49. Robertson easily outdistanced the second place runner, Medicine Valley’s Kael Garrett whose second place time was 18:44.37
Wallace’s next run was Monday at the UNK meet. The teams will be running at Gothenburg’s Wild Horse Golf Course on Thursday.
