Wildcats add two wins to record

Wallace completed two more games in their basketball season and picked up two more victories. Last week they hosted Brady on Tuesday and then traveled to Maxwell on Friday.

The Wildcats had their hands full in the Tuesday game with Brady. The Eagles came to compete and they got off to a great start. In the opening quarter, they scored with jump shots, put backs, driving the lane, free throws and they got a couple of baskets off of steals. Late in the quarter, Jared Sullivan hit a trey and Micah Swedberg got a put back and a couple of free throws to help the Wildcats’ cause but they still trailed 16-21.

Brady looked as if they might control the second quarter as well. Swedberg got things started by knocking down a jump shot but the Eagles responded with a seven-point scoring run.

Sullivan however, hit a timely 3-pointer to get the Cats started on a 10-point run of their own, the last three points of the run came from another Sullivan trey.

Wallace had tied the game with the run and after Brady hit a jump shot, the Blue and White went on to put up another seven unanswered  points to take the lead. By halftime, the Cats were up 37-34.
