Wildcats face tough loss

Wallace had a tough game last Friday when they hosted a 4-1 Arapahoe team that had a great deal of size as well as speed. To add to the challenges, an early evening downpour left an already saturated field wet and slippery.

The game started off with a bang, 22 points were scored before the quarter was half over. The Warriors got to put their offense on the field first and they immediately put up eight points. The Wildcats however were quick to respond, and on their first play from scrimmage, Jared Sullivan got a pass off to Micah Swedberg which resulted in six points.

The Warriors came charging right back for another quick score and eight more points. As the first quarter progressed, it was all Arapahoe. Wallace experienced three consecutive turnovers and the Warriors capitalized on all three. By the time the first quarter came to an end, they had a commanding 39-6 lead.

Second quarter

The offensive side of the game improved a bit for the Wildcats as the second quarter unfolded. They put together a successful drive and scored the first points of the quarter when Sullivan completed a pass to Ty Maline.
