Wildcats fall short in RPAC
by LaDonna Swedberg
The RPAC basketball tournament was in full swing last week and following the win against Maxwell in the opening round, Wallace was scheduled to play Paxton in Paxton on Tuesday evening. Due to inclement weather, the game was postponed to Wednesday but the rematch did take place.
Just like in the first meeting of the two teams, Wallace had the slight advantage in the opening quarter. After exchanging baskets, the Wildcats ended the period with an 12-11 lead due to Jacob Melton’s five points, Tyler Daniels’ four points and Ty Maline’s trey.
The second quarter was a very different story.
