Wallace golfers Matt Lungrin and Chase Martin traveled to Alma last Thursday for the RPAC tournament. Both finished out of the medals. Lungrin shot a 99, four strokes behind 15th place.

Head Coach Richard Lee said Lungrin struggled out of the gate with his first two shots out of bounds.

Lungrin was never able to recover and finished just out of the medals.

Hitchcock County had the conference champion and runner up and were able to hold off Southern Valley, which had three in the top 10, 353-357.

Lee said the Alma course was in great shape.

Wallace has two tournaments on tap before districts, the North Platte St. Pat’s Invite Thursday and the Mullen Invite Wednesday.

Lee said the River’s Edge course, site of the NPSP Invite, is a nice 18 hole course that will help the Wildcats prepare for districts.

Districts will be Monday, May 15 at Bridgeport.
