Wrestlers bring home five medals

All five Perkins County wrestlers who competed at the Mullen Invite on Saturday, Jan. 20 brought home a medal. The team placed sixth with 48 points. 

With three wrestling in their divisions, seniors Jack Kennicutt and Isaias Perez won their first matches and lost their second to take second in the 170 and 285-pound classes respectively. 

Jace Wid lost his first match and won his second to take third place out of six in the 145-pound class. 

Trye Hickey won two and lost one to take fourth place out of six in the 132-pound class. 

Carson Thelander took second in the 106-pound class with two wreslers competing in that division.
