Water filled the depths of the Grant Municipal Pool last week in preparation of its Memorial Day opening on May 28.

Services for Memorial Day have been set on Monday, May 28 in communities throughout the region to pay tribute to Americans who have fallen in battle.

Joel DaMoude, 18, of Imperial and a recent Chase County High School graduate, was involved in a one-vehicle rollover accident late Monday morning, May 21, five miles southeast of Grant.

Five Perkins County athletes traveled to Omaha Thursday, May 17 to compete in Class C of the 2018 NSAA Track and Field Championships at Omaha Burke Stadium May 18-19.

After extracting a window, over 20 volunteers safely removed the custom benches from the future site of The Mill at 310 Central Ave., in Grant. 

Main street will gain a new business when The Mill opens on Saturday, June 2 at 310 Central Ave., in Grant.  

While rule changes are minimal overall this year,  the rule on transfers gained the most attention from the Upper Republican Natural Resources District (URNRD) board.
