Accident claims life of Grant resident

A two-vehicle accident north of Grant claimed the life of Grant resident Joya Neville, 60, on Friday, May 16.
Neville was traveling northbound on Highway 61 when icy conditions caused her vehicle to slide into the southbound lane. Her vehicle was struck by a southbound pickup north of the Perkins/Keith county line.
An accident report was unavailable at press time, and more information will be available in next week’s issue.
Joya was an employee of Western States Bank in Grant. She had previously worked at Country Supply in Grant.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 10 a.m. MT at First Christian Church in St. Francis, Kansas, 118 E Webster St.
