Thank you, fair board!Many, many hours goes into pulling off the Perkins County Fair each and every year. From the minute after the fair is over each year, the fair board is busy working on events for the next one. Above, the fair board poses with their float they entered into the fair parade. The float was designed and built by board member Sammi Goff and her family. A total of eight elk are harvested in depredation season
A total of eight elk were harvested during Nebraska’s first special elk depredation season, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks.

Robertson part of national qualifying 4-H team
Six 4-H members from Perkins and Chase counties competed in the livestock judging portion of the Premier Animal Science Event on UNL’s East Campus June 23.
A moment was taken after the regular meeting of the Perkins County Health Services Board of Directors Monday, June 27 meeting to say, “Thank You” to outgoing board members Mary Jo Gengenbach (front, left), and Richard Thurin (middle, back).
