Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Grant celebrated the next generation with a First Communion last Sunday. Receiving their First Communion on Sunday, April 18, 2021 were (l-r):Lila Sainz, Jonathan Bruns, Natalie Johnson, Michael Lee, Kylie Day, Bella Gengenbach, Meila Korpan, Kyler Richmond with Father Tom Bush (back).

The Elsie Seniors are once again having a monthly luncheon. They met Tuesday, April 20 at the Elsie Legion Building. The Little Country Kitchen catered a meal of chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, coleslaw and ice cream. Connie Wilson brought a chocolate cake. Trish Jimenez from the Perkins County Senior Center gave a presentation about the handy-bus that is available to Perkins County residents and gave out door prizes. Those attending were: Harvey and Jeanne Brott of North Platte, Lyla Hahn, Rosalie Curtis, Dolores Steinwart, George Perlinger, Bill and Marian Robertson, Sharon Day, Paula Stanek and her daughter Fabienne Burkhalter, John and Jane Culver and Jim Glunz.
