The Elsie Seniors met for lunch on Tuesday, September 21, at the American Legion building. The Little Country Kitchen catered a meal of lasagna, garlic bread, and apple salad. Connie Wilson brought a chocolate cake. Delores Steinwart, George Perlinger and Debbi Osler all celebrated birthdays. Also present were: Scott Osler, Marian and Bill Robertson, Duane and Susie McClintock, Joan and John Culver, Rosalie Curtis, Sharon Day, Lillian Hanson and Jim Glunz.

Upper Republican Natural Resources District board members adopted a revised integrated management plan for the district that takes effect Sept. 27.

During this year’s budget process, Perkins County District 1 commissioner Sid Colson and District 2 commissioner Ron Hagan said they would be each be increasing their road budgets by $100,000.

The Wallace Fall Festival, themed ‘Colors of fall,’ kicked off Saturday with a free-will donation breakfast before heading into two days of activities including the parade.
