The Elsie Seniors met for lunch on Tuesday, September 21, at the American Legion building. The Little Country Kitchen catered a meal of lasagna, garlic bread, and apple salad. Connie Wilson brought a chocolate cake. Delores Steinwart, George Perlinger and Debbi Osler all celebrated birthdays. Also present were: Scott Osler, Marian and Bill Robertson, Duane and Susie McClintock, Joan and John Culver, Rosalie Curtis, Sharon Day, Lillian Hanson and Jim Glunz.

The Wallace Fall Festival, themed ‘Colors of fall,’ kicked off Saturday with a free-will donation breakfast before heading into two days of activities including the parade. Top image: Elementary-age children dash down the street in the foot race. Middle: Marty Fattig received this year’s Old Scout Award and rode down Main Street Wallace with Grand Marshalls Stuart and Lea Van Boening (bottom image) during Saturday morning’s parade. David Anderson received the Good Neighbor Award this year. Also featured in the parade was Wallace’s oldest living resident, 99-year-old Rose Cecava.
