With the purpose of retrieving their “stolen” meeting gavel and bell, Wallace Lions members ventured to the October 13 Grant Lions Club meeting. Wallace Lions claimed that Grant Lions stole these paraphernalia from a Wallace club meeting. Of course, there is more to the story. Grant Lions retorted that Wallace started the whole episode when Wallace “borrowed” the Grant’s “Melvin” Lion head. This may not be the last of this ongoing scenario, according to Grant Lion Leland Thomas. Wallace Lions Club member, George Witte, guards the retrieved Wallace bell and gavel at the October 13 Grant Lions meeting. Members from left to right are Ed Dunn, Leland Thomas, Jerry McArtor, Trent Patrick, Ted Tietjen, Larry Seger (Wallace), George Witte (Wallace), Rendale Meyer, Kathy Witte (Wallace), Judy Seger (Wallace), Betty Thomas, Connie Thompson (Wallace), Lisa Schmitt, Gloria Patrick, Samaantha Balderston, Ashley Colglazier, Rex Wilson, Raymond Beisner and Luke Korf.
