The Perkins County Plainsmen won’t go into the Christmas break with an 0-for.
The Lady Plainsmen earned their first win of the season last week against Paxton 39-37. They fell, however, to both Garden County and Dundy County Stratton.
LaRae Day of Cotton Empire provided residents of Westview Retirement Community with festive shirts for Christmas.
The Perkins County first grade class were the lucky winners of the Chamber of Commerce’s light pole decorating contest held in November. Votes were held on social media via Facebook likes and the first grade class’s pole won with 244 votes. The class decided to do something special with their winnings and donated half of their $100 in Greenbacks to fill needs of the Perkins County Animal Shelter.
