PC Senior Beau Wood went 21-0 to finish the season as the  NSAA Class C 195 wrestling champion. When introduced for the championship match, Wood wore an anti-bullying shirt that said “Stand for the Silent.” Wood’s family was all cheers as he took the final match for the gold, and Wood took the time to thank the one who got him there. State wrestling story is here. Emilio Perez placed sixth in 285. 

State Champion Wood gives God the glory

Perkins County Senior Beau Wood finished this year’s wrestling season undefeated as the Class C 195 Nebraska State Champion.

Wood’s perfect record yields gold, Perez sixth at state

Perkins County wrestlers returned home with a state champion and sixth place medal winner from the NSAA Wrestling Championships Feb. 14-16 in Omaha.
