Last week will be a memorable one for the members of the Perkins County Plainsmen football team as they prepared for their quarterfinal appearance in the D1 playoffs. The Perkins County flag football team, run by Perry Allen and Todd Kraus with assistant coach Chase Sauder, received a visit from former football player and coach Myrel Moore at their last game of the season Monday, Oct. 18. He talked to the youth about how he came from a small town and a school of 100 students, and he and two others ended up coaching professionally. His message to the kids was to give 110% and not to worry about coming from a small school because how far one goes depends on how hard one works.
