Lady Plainsmen take six sets Saturday

The Perkins County volleyball team had a successful Saturday at the Potter-Dix tourney. The girls won all six sets they played.

Last week Jamie Einspahr and crew packed military boxes to be sent to the troops in Saudi Arabia. The overall dollar value including shipping was roughly $1000. Each box contains approximately $40 dollars worth of items. The Einspahr family started this yearly tradition seven years ago when they sent a Christmas box to their cousin. Every year after they would send more boxes. Jamie started big red battlefield boxes and have shipped over 250 boxes in the past. They receive donations from family and friends, Wallace Auxiliary, and FaceBook canned item auctions.

WinDesigns, owned by Lana and Kyle Kammerer, has opened up at its new location at 526 Lincoln Ave. They began the move on May 21, but only recently were they able to get everything set up and fully ready for business. The shop is open for customers Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The new location is much closer to home for the Kammerers, making it easier to get to work during poor weather conditions. The new location is also safer for their dog, Bear, who can wander around the yard without the worry of high traffic. WinDesigns offers custom apparel of all kinds, including embroidery, vinyl heat transfers and sublimation. They also offer custom work on bags, towels, stuffed toys and more.
