Paula Haynes, a Grant native, officially retires from Hatch’s Super Foods today, Wednesday, Sept. 30 after decades of dedicated service to the Grant community.
Preparations and protocols developed over a course of months to deal with a COVID-19 case in the school paid off.
This year’s fall harvest season is here. Much of the dry bean harvest has been completed with the wet corn harvest on it’s heels. The irrigated corn still needs a good freeze to dry down but picking on some of those fields is already underway. DCN Farms Harvesting of Imperial was picking a field of irrigated corn just west of Grant Monday.
Volunteers packaged the meals: Mary Dodson, Cori Sis, Richard Thurin, Bonnie Taubenheim, Donna Mayer, Patty Clough, and Angela Gloy staffed the first 1/2 of the event. Additional volunteers not pictured: Monica Poppe, Jeannie Daiss, Ashley Colglazier, Hanna Colglazier and Jackie Urdahl.
