Perkins County School Superintendent Phillip Picquet hopes he never has to propose another budget like the one this year.
Perkins County High School celebrated homecoming Friday night following the Plainsmen’s 76-32 win over Maywood/Hayes Center. The royal court included, from left Rylee Huff, Bryder Hickey, Queen Dani Burge, King Brandon Knoles, Savannah Schmitt, Carter Krajewski, Hannah Kempf and Ian Picquet. A dance followed the coronation festivities.
When the filing deadline for the May Primary Election passed, only three people had filed for the three seats up for election on the Perkins County Schools board of education.
“All in all, it’s going as well as we could hope,” Perkins County Schools Superintendent Philip Picquet said Tuesday after the first 10 days of the school year.
Perkins County Schools will be adding several new members to its staff this year, including a new elementary principal, science teacher, paraprofessional educators, and food service workers.
