The Wallace Elementary fourth grade students participated in the American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Poster Contest. The students created their own poster with the guidelines that the poster had to contain a slogan and a correct drawing of the Flander’s poppy flower. Chuck and Kathryn Bolton of Dorchester, Nebraska, attended the Perkins County graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 8 to watch their great niece Jessie Craig receive her high school diploma. Not only was it a special day for 2021 graduate Craig, but this month also marks the 70th anniversary of Chuck Bolton’s 1951 high school graduation from Perkins County High Schools.  The two enjoyed cake, punch and visiting with friends and family after the commencement ceremony, celebrating their high school graduations together—Craig’s first and Bolton’s 70th.
