New officers for Perkins County FFA were announced at the FFA annual banquet Friday, April 23. Sydney Long was the evening’s banquet speaker, and Phillip Picquet was the Honorary Chapter Degree recipient. Newly installed officers are (l-r): Jr. Adviser Ella Uehling, Historian Summer Postlewait, Reporter Eli Busick, Vice President Kylie Tucker, President Hallie Fisher, Secretary Kayton Brueggeman, Treasurer Gavin Smith and Sentinel Storm Peterson.
MPCC campuses ready for May 7 graduation
A number of area students will be graduating from Mid Plains Community College in North Platte and McCook on May 7.
The Perkins County Quiz Bowl team finished third out of 14 teams at the District Tournament Monday, April 19. This is the end of the season for the team as only the top two teams advance to State. Seniors Ethan Terry, Tyler Tucker and Keegan Sims will be graduating, making the District Tournament the last quiz bowl competition of their high school careers.
