Dr. Tori and Dr. Eric Gengenbach won the Perkins County Health Services Foundation Operation Tournament during the championship rounds held Saturday, Dec. 5. The semi finals included Bryan and Julie Sestak and the Midwest Electric team, “The Shocking Schmitts,” made up of Randy and Lisa Schmitt. Dr. Shane Banks and members of the OR staff were on hand to supervise surgery. They threw in some additional challenges for the final rounds to really test the “surgeons’” skills. They had to operate in the dark with headlamps, and were even blindfolded for one round! “We would like to thank all the players, the sponsors, the silent auction bidders and the entire county for their support. This event raised needed funds to support the purchase of operating room equipment. We had fun, raised money, and stayed safe!” said Jackie Urdahl, the Hospital Foundation Administrator. Successful bidders to the silent auction will be notified and can pick up their items at Arnold’s Insurance.
