Shawn Cole’s boys basketball team went 1-1 in their own holiday tournament before the Christmas break, taking second after falling to Wallace in the finals.

After defeating Hyannis 49-8 in the first round of the Perkins County Holiday Tournament, the Lady Plainsmen went on to play Wallace for the victory. Perkins County defeated Wallace 55-34 Tuesday, Dec. 22, and won the tournament. Team members include (l-r): Meghan Bishop, Hannah Kempf, Dani Burge, Rylee Huff and Kailee Potts. Just before winter break, the Lady Plainsmen took victory at the Perkins County Holiday Basketball Tournament Tuesday evening, Dec. 22.
Three Plainsmen wrestlers came home with medals from Saturday’s 14-team meet at Sutherland.
